The Pegasus2 R8 storage array has dual Thunderbolt 2 ports, one port for direct system attachment and another port for daisy-chaining up to 6 Thunderbolt 2 devices. RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60 are also supported each level offers configuration options for capacity, data protection, redundancy, and speed. These drives are hot-swappable for easy access and come pre-configured in RAID 5 mode, which is optimized for data protection, capacity, and performance. Actual storage capacity will differ according to the RAID configuration. The Pegasus2 R8 stores up to 24TB of data spread across eight 3TB 7200 rpm SATA drives.

These are Thunderbolt 2 versions and I have some genuine Apple Thunderbolt 3 adapters which render these units basically identical to Promise Pegasus 3 R4 and R8.*Īll units are 100% tested with low use and all drives enterprise versions and tested and certified by Promise.
